Hey Wade, (The name that is a verb. I’ll remember that.)
This is intended to be brief...

It was really nice talking with you. You said a couple of things that stuck: That you would like to help and that you think I might be onto something.

As I said, I want to avoid influencing your project's direction; because I want to get a look at my work through your eyes. [In retrospect, I expect you are careful to guard against being influenced.] I’d just be trying to justify my effort and be liked by you in any personal dealings we have. I still have the old "school kid" in me that just wants to be popular. That said, being liked by the majority seems inconsistent with what Jesus taught. Jesus liked people too, and we see what it got him. He did say not to imagine he came to bring peace but a sword, and people’s enemies would be persons of their own household. (Mat 10:32-39) At the same time, the Bible refers to him as the prince of peace, (Isa 9:6-7) so, we do know he will bring peace; when his Kingdom is established over the earth. (Rev 21:1-4; Isa 11:1-13; Gal 3:26-29) Between here and then, however...

As Jesus implied, there is nothing more divisive than religion. [Not Christianity, mind you, but religion is divisive. Well, maybe Christianity is a bit too; in the sense it separates righteous people from this world of wickedness. (1 John 5:19 of 18-21)] My website seems to divide people into one of three groups. A first small group who absolutely hates it [usually preachers or zealots]. A second large group who are somewhat interested to see what JustBibleTruth.com is all about. And a third small group who share my faith in Christ and the Bible, and so, love JustBibleTruth.com. That does put me in the midst of a bit of a fire-storm. The third group does seem to be growing rapidly. [I actually expect (but hope not, as I hope good to all) to see the first group grow most, while the large middle group actually disappears, as each and every one in that group sort themseles into one of the other two groups (building faith in Christ; or rejecting him). (Jer 25:31-33; Isa 45:22-25; Rom 14:11-12) That is what Christ came to do. (Mat 25:31-34) I really believe we might be at or nearing the time when that separating work into two groups by Jesus is done! Who, really, hasn't heard enough about Jesus Christ to have made a decision, (Deu 30:19-20) and then, to have talked with those they associate with about their choice. (Mal 3:16-4:3)] JustBibleTruth.com and the tribulation is creating enough interest that I have been expecting someone in the main stream news would want to report on it; as a curiosity if nothing else... Enter you! Perhaps you can just report it without seeming to take sides [as I guess "real reporters" are supposed to do], and thus avoid getting yourself in the midst of the turmoil! [Unless, of course, you want to take a stand. That would be better, as taking a stand is what our lives are all about. In my eyes, it would be better if your stand is in support, of course. In any case, God is watching the drama we are all creating. (Rom 10:9-10; Malachi 3:16-4:3)]

What JustBibleTruth.com is… First, what it is not. It is "NOT" yet another church or religious sect. Unless you are an independent student of the Bible, without church affiliation, you have not heard what is revealed here!

It now seems my whole life has led me here, to this point in time and to this work. (John 6:28-29) I do know every single self-righteous person, and especially most preachers, believes or wants to believe their lives have led them to their service to God; but, that most of them show themselves to be just silly wrong in the eyes of sincere students of God's Word. Still… I am what I am. I have looked for God since I can remember. Stealing a pack of gum as a young kid, I thought God would punish me; so, I saw his punishment in every bad thing that happened to me.
[My conscience made me afraid, but didn't make me leave off stealing the gum. I hope I have gotten better. Or, more probably, I hope my faith in Christ is covering my sinful inclination in God's sight, until my transformation to "new" is complete. (2 Cor 5:17 of 5:17-6:2) That transformation happening now, I think? (Eph 4:20-24)]
I was involved in a string of churches from boyhood forward but none of them made me feel I was getting closer to God. They didn't seem to have any more answers than I did. Could I have been looking in the wrong place? [Please don't answer yes, I was looking in the wrong place, and then add that "your church" would have been the right place! That would make you just another part of the problem...] At nineteen, I was drafted into the Army and served a year in combat in Vietnam in a unit that saw it about as bad as it could have been, and still have any survive to make it home. Only about 40 out of 100 of us survived unscathed.
[VietnamJC.com – I actually put that Vietnam site up with a couple of the men I served in the Nam with; for my part doing it as a lead-in to JustBibleTruth.com. (My friends from our service did know and were OK with what I was doing.) Now, I find, our Vietnam site has gotten pretty busy as well.]

Why do I do JustBibleTruth.com? I am hampered now by old age and health so I can't really do too much. Much of what strength I do have, though, goes into my Bible study. Unless something precludes me, I study God's word every day and record [make notes of] those studies here on JustBibleTruth.com. Why have I given my life over to what some people consider an obsession? One neighbor says she has a university trained scientific mind and doesn't believe in God. In as pleasant a way as she could, I'm sure, or at least I hope, she said I am a fool and coward [not using those exact words] just hiding from the world to write these things. I assume she considers my hope a fairy tale... She was taught respect for the Bible as a child by her mother, so I told her I don't give up hope and will still talk to encourage her at every chance. She is a long time family friend of life and I don't dislike her because she disagrees with me. What kind of Christian would that really be. I am convinced I am right. She is convinced she is right. But we both, along with everyone else, are waiting to see. (Heb 11:1 of 10:36-11:3) None of us have yet had our hope realized. (Rom 8:24) That means we live by faith, not sight. (2 Cor 5:7) What ever our personal choices, the Bible says God is watching the drama our lives are creating, and, that he cares... (Mal 3:16-4:3)

Please understand, I am not saying I was a nice guy in my youth [or even now for that matter. I want to please God because He is good but also because I want blessings at his hand. (Heb 11:6) I hope it is in "that order" and that I am pleasing to him...] In youth it was my best effort to be a womanizer and party animal; and I did fairly well at it all. Still, beneath Vietnam and all the rest, was my search for God. Early on in life I had decided the Bible is the only presentation of God that makes sense. So, that meant I was a "Bible student" most all of my life. My very large problem was I tried to learn the Bible, and thus draw to God, by joining church after church. Helping us understand the Bible and know God is what they all assert they are for, right? Each one, however, had a doctrine that defined [and segregated] them; and, was then used by them to approve my membership. In every one, after a bit of time as my Bible knowledge grew, I would find scriptures that contradicted church doctrine. When I would ask about the problem, [and, yes, I would be trying to help us (including them) learn better,] I was invariably told that is what "they" believe, and if I didn't agree, I would probably be better served somewhere else. One preacher told my now ex-wife I was plagued with a demon of confusion because I  wouldn't  couldn't agree with him on his belief in his doctrine, even though some scriptures actually contradicted his assertions. Later, after being disfellowshipped from yet another group for similar reasons, or more accurately, I was disfellowshipped because I started to realize God’s only latter day command [since Jesus Christ was born] is for us to listen to his son. The sect didn't like me saying that among "their sheep." Really and finally hearing that command from God was my awakening. (Mark 9:7) Would you be surprised to hear that when I started actually reading and taking to heart the words of Jesus Christ, and stopped looking to one sect after another of religious men to approve what truth is, [as well, of course, as loving their pats on the head in their expressions of faith in my great wisdom for agreeing with them,] it was as if scales fell from my eyes? (Acts 9:17-20) I was set free of the evil influence of even well meaning religious people. (John 8:31-32)

The problem  with  for Religionists: Religious people, and especially preachers, all have an agenda: They seek to expand and protect their church. That seems righteous at first thought, but most all such people follow the sad course of John Calvin.
[Go to: JustBibleTruth.com; scroll down to “Most Important: What Christ Taught!” and select “John Calvin.” from that section.]
Once set on their goal of creating and following a "group" doctrine, they all forget following Christ in favor of their agenda; as they each one choose the need for a "doctrine of faith" to define them. Then, most are ready to hate and even harm those who don't follow their doctrinal law. When they judge people [grant them an approved membership in their group] based on their doctrine, you can know the truth about them: They are religious rather than Christian! The only doctrine for true Christians are the words of Jesus Christ.

First and only true or real Chruch: About 2000 years ago Jesus Christ started the only real and true Church. We should never forget it is “he” who is protecting and expanding that Church. (1 Cor 3:5-9; Eph 2:22 of 11-22; 1 Pet 2:5 of 1-12) That is "The Christ's" [The Anointed One's] assignment from God! (John 18:37; John 3:35-36; John 10:24-29; John 8:31-32) We need to appreciate that and not think too highly of ourselves. (Rom 12:3; Pro 16:18) The best any of us can do as our purpose of life is tell others about “Jesus Christ” and "his" work. (2 Cor 5:18-21) The point is everyone alive needs to know they can’t join any sect of men to get God’s approval. They can't join you or me or any other human! They [YOU] have to join Jesus, by actually listening (Mark 3:31-35) to what his Father sent him to teach. (John 6:28-29; John 18:37-38) I can’t give you the knowledge you need. No other human or group of them can. What I can share is the very simple and clear secret I have extremely painfully learned over the course of my life: Hear God’s command and actually listen to Jesus Christ. (Mat 17:5)
[I now find the computer skills I developed in younger life provide a good study medium. The ability to use website hyperlinks to just click to view referenced scriptures, or any information I am aware of on the internet, helps me study. It seems my mind is a bit leaky. By the time I get to the end of a big or complex study, I have forgotten where I started. (God's teachings are simple and easy to understand, of course, but they do cover 6000 years of human history and more. That makes the whole of them a bit complex for me...) All the pages of my online study, which I then share, have helped me organize large thoughts and see interrelationships I don't think I would be able to understand or accomplish without my computer. My website, then, is for those who don't have or maybe want those techy-nerd computer skills.
For examples of what were complex studies [large thoughts] for me, go to JustBibleTruth.com; select: “Kingdom Has Come!” and/or “Where Religions Come From?
JustBibleTruth.com has thus provided me a framework or collage to hang or organize all the things I learned from the Bible. Computers are just another tool, like the printing press, God has allowed so as to benefit humankind. The greatest value of computers, I am convinced, lies in Bible study and understanding.]

The most important thing my website [Bible study] grants me is faith and hope. When I can really and truly believe in the promises of the Bible, I am happy. (John 16:23-24; John 15:11; 1 John 1:1-4) That true happiness is what I seek. Happiness and hope is what Bible study gives. I weep tears of joy as I look up and read supporting scriptures to write this...

The value of JustBibleTruth.com: I have a friend that I have talked with about the Bible for fifty years or more, which means he saw me abandon main stream religion some 25 to 30 years ago, and then to start my Bible study website. It wasn't some great plan of mine, mind you, but where a life of respect for the Bible sort of drove me! My friend and I have mostly always had pleasant conversations, even about our faith. That said, he has never been one to drink the Kool-Aid [been quick to join anything]. He and his wife have been members of a church. He called the other day and told be about sitting in the midst of a discussion at his church. I think they are a church that plays down the idea of these being "the end of days" (Dan 8:23-26) Jesus promised, (Luke 21:28 of 25-28; Mat 24:29-31) and/or, they deny that we are witnessing the tribulation. They just want to keep asserting things are the same as they have been in years gone by. (2 Pet 3:3-4 of 1-7) Brothers, my friend said in their discussion, I don't think things are the same. (Mal 3:16-4:3) He said when he sees all those babies starving in the world, including those trying to live among their obliterated homes in Gaza [the destruction of Gaza which the Bible foretold calling her by name (Zephaniah 2:4 of 1-7)], along with all the other [natural and otherwise] disasters and horrors of life in today's world, he thinks it does seem like it could be the fulfillment of Jesus's promises of the end times for Satan's world. (Mat 24:3-7; Luke 21:25-28; Mat 24:21-22; Acts 17:29-31; 2 Pet 3:8-13) They disagreed with him, perhaps even unpleasantly. So, he called later to ask me if it is my simple belief that everyone who has actually been reading the words of Christ, and has true faith in him, will be alright and safe through the horrors of the tribulation and Armageddon. (Mal 3:16-4:3; Dan 8:23-26) Yes, I said, that is precisely what I believe the Bible teaches! But, I do expect some people will refuse to hear no matter what. If they have seen the tribulation Jesus promised (Luke 21:25-28) and still refuse to believe, well, I fear for their fate... I reminded him that Jesus did say some people wouldn't believe even if someone came back from the dead to warn them. (Luke 16:27-31) He said he does remember that scripture. He is a Bible student! That conversation illustrates what JustBibleTruth.com is good for, then: It helps people organize and make sense of the scriptures they know; or choose to learn. It gives them hope and peace from the Bible.

It is my interaction with people, mixed with my Bible study, that builds JustBibleTruth, com. This letter might be expanded slightly to become a webpage, so as to link scriptures and supporting documents to support these things I assert as truth. If I do that, I would like to include your full name and credentials, but, whatever you like. Please advise…

Best forever,

Murray Cummings
