About Jesus Christ
(Written: May, 2011)

Jesus Christ is the theme of the Bible. Jesus is  יהוה 's  provision to break up [destroy] the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8)
••• You should recognize  to be God's personal name as recorded over 6000 times in the original Hebrew Old Testament text. יהוה gave his name to Moses on stone tablets some 3500 years ago. (Exo 31:18) That would seem to make it the only acceptable written representation to identify our Creator! •••
The Messiah or Christ [both titles meaning "Anointed One"] had a prehuman existence. He was born of the virgin Mary but his prehuman existence was transferred there by God's Spirit to be born as a perfect man. [See: "When Did God Know YOU?"] The Christ was first mentioned in the promise to Eve in Gen 3:15, immediately following the first sin by our original parents in the Garden of Eden. [Which sin brought all Adam's offspring into captivity to sin and death. (Romans 5:12; Romans 8:20-21)] As recorded at Genesis 3:15,  יהוה uttered the first promise of a coming savior: God there stating He would "raise up a seed of the woman" [the "son of man" (Mat 9:6-8)] who would crush Satan's head. About 2000 years later, God further stated that coming "seed of the woman" would also be the seed of Abraham, and would "bless all nations" of the earth. (Gen 22:15-18) Some 2000 years after that second messianic promise, Jesus Christ was born as that seed of promise. In those days and since, he preached the good news of the Kingdom [his coming Messianic Kingdom over the earth (Rev 21:1-4)] throughout all the nations. (Mat 24:14) Its been another 2000 years and Christ has returned as King of God's Kingdom over the earth and all Creation... (1 Cor 15:12-28) This website provides links to the scriptures you will need to know [have absolute faith in] that as truth; for yourself... What you believe and expect is what will happen to you! (2 Chron 20:17; Mat 9:22; Eph 2:8; Mark 10:52; Luke 7:50; Luke 17:19; Luke 18:42; Acts 14:9; Luke 8:40‑55; Mat 8:13; Luke 6:19; Mat 9:27‑30; Luke 8:48 of 42‑48; John 7:37‑39; John 19:34) )

There are two distinct groups of Bible prophecies about the coming of Jesus Christ:

  1. What the Bible teaches about the arrival of Jesus as the Christ.

The Bible teaches us about the first coming of Messiah or Christ (The Anointed One), primarily focusing on Jesus presenting himself (Mark 1:9-11) as our savior and to do God's preaching work in 29 CE when he was baptized by John. (Luke 1:30-33; John 18:37; Isa 9:6-7)
  2. What the Bible teaches about the second coming of Jesus; The arrival of Jesus Christ as the King of Creation.

Jesus then taught us about (among other things) his second coming as the powerful king of God's kingdom. When should we expect that?

Throughout the Bible, we find additional prophecy teaching more about the coming of the Christ. (Consider the major Bible prophecies about the Messiah.) And then finally, we have the Christian Greek Scriptures [the New Testament] with the words of the Christ recorded in the Gospels by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Following Jesus's teachings in the four Gospels we have the accounts of those who witnessed his arrival as the Christ and our ransom sacrifice; also documenting the miracles he performed in proof of his claims to be the Son of God. (John 1:29‑34) In those Gospels recording the teachings of the Christ, Jesus promised his later return as King of Creation. (Luke 21:25-28) [Your life depends on you becoming familiar with Christ's words in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. (Mat 17:5 Plus) You should surely realize; your knowledge of Jesus's words is your link to God's Spirit. (John 6:63)] Jesus taught us how to behave so as to take advantage of the ransom he provided. He also taught us what to look for and expect at his second coming. He has arrived and is now in the process of destroying Satan's world, in his modern day service as God's appointed king. (1 Cor 15:12‑28) He told us his return was important and we should keep on the watch in expectation of him. (Mark 13:32-37) Are you "expecting" all the things Christ promised? (Mark 11:22-24) Do you even know what he promised? (John 11:25-26; John 8:51) Creation has been suffering together since Adam's sin, awaiting the arrival of the kingdom of Christ and the deliverance it is bringing all of creation. (Romans 8:22) Just as pre-Christian Bible students looked forward to the appearance of Christ, and to learn his identity, so Bible students of our day should be looking forward to Jesus's second coming; this time to bring relief as King of God's kingdom. (Rom 8:18-22; Mal 3:16-4:3) When we live in the stream of time matters. What a wondrous day to be alive!

Now I do know this sounds just too good to be true; like a fairy tale. It is not! "My faith" is it is real. That simple knowledge of God's son reveals the value of your life; you must decide [judge] what YOU really and truly believe...
(John 3:18-19 of 16-21)
