••• You should recognize and know "and use" God's Hebrew Name! It is יהוה and sounds like to English speakers... God Himself wrote with his own finger on stone tablets He then gave to Moses. (Exo 31:18) Using the Diving Name of our Creator is a uniting force in this divided world! •••

Psalms 118:19-24 MWT . . .Open to me the gates of the Temple; I will go in and give thanks to יהוה! This is the (20) gate of יהוה; only the righteous can come in. (21) I praise you, יהוה, because you heard me, because you have given me victory. (22) The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. (23) This is from יהוה, it is marvelous in our eyes. (24) This is the day of יהוה's victory; let us be happy, let us rejoice in what יהוה has done!

Psalms 118:19-24 GNB . . .Open to me the gates of the Temple; (John 10:1-10) I will go in and give thanks to the LORD  (יהוה)! (20) This is the gate of the LORD  (יהוה); only the righteous can come in. (21) I praise you, LORD  (יהוה), because you heard me, because you have given me victory. (22) The stone which the builders rejected as worthless turned out to be the most important of all. (23) This was done by the LORD  (יהוה); what a wonderful sight it is! (24) This is the day of the LORD's  (יהוה) victory; let us be happy, let us celebrate!
Hearing people quote the King James Translation of Psalm 118, verse 24, all my life, I always thought that verse applied to just any and every day: That we should find joy and appreciation for any day of life we are favored to have. That is true, of course. Reading the verse here in context, however, these verses have special application to one very specific day: To Armageddon, and to the day God stands up to destroy all His enemies forever. (Zep 2:2-3 of 1-7) Rejoice in that day above all others, it is the day of our deliverance. (Joel 2:113:16) It is the day our faith has placed us in God's Temple for all eternity. (Rev 21:1-4)

Psalms 118:22-24 KJV . . .The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. (23) This is the LORD  (יהוה)'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. (24) This is the day which the LORD  (יהוה) hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalms 118:22-24 LITV . . .The Stone which the builders rejected has become the Head of the Corner. (23) This is from Jehovah  (יהוה), it is marvelous in our eyes. (24) This is the day Jehovah  (יהוה) has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalms 118:22-24 GW . . .The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. (23) The LORD  (יהוה) is responsible for this, and it is amazing for us to see. (24) This is the day the LORD  (יהוה) has made. Let's rejoice and be glad today!

Psalms 118:22-24 CEV . . .The stone that the builders tossed aside has now become the most important stone. (23) The LORD  (יהוה) has done this, and it is amazing to us. (24) This day belongs to the LORD  (יהוה)! Let's celebrate and be glad today.

Psalms 118:22-24 ESV . . .The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. (23) This is the LORD  (יהוה)'s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. (24) This is the day that the LORD  (יהוה) has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
