Matthew 11:1-6 GW
After Jesus finished giving his twelve disciples these instructions, he moved on from there to teach his message in their cities. (2) When John was in prison, he heard about the things Christ had done. So he sent his disciples (3) to ask Jesus, "Are you the one who is coming, or should we look for someone else?" (4) Jesus answered John's disciples, "Go back, and tell John what you hear and see: (5) Blind people see again, lame people are walking, those with skin diseases are made clean, deaf people hear again, dead people are brought back to life, and poor people hear the Good News. (6) Whoever doesn't lose his faith in me is indeed blessed."

John the Baptist was the son of a Jewish prophet and thus a prominent son of Abraham and Jacob [Israel]. (Luke 1:5-17) John was sent by God as a forerunner of the Christ, to encourage all people to have faith in Jesus (Mat 3:7-12) as God's Son. (Mat 17:5) Announcing the arrival of God's anointed King over mankind was a wondrous job for John. Probably one of the last things he expected, however, was to be thrown into prison. No doubt having some doubts about Jesus and his own task, it was from those bonds John sent his disciples to inquire of Jesus if he really was the promised Messiah. Keeping faith, no matter what happens to us, is very important. Jesus lumped hearing about and having faith in the good news of God's Kingdom, (Mat 24:14) with having eyesight restored or being raised from the dead; thus the most important thing in life. (Mat 13:44)

Matthew 11:1-6 GNB
When Jesus finished giving these instructions to his twelve disciples, he left that place and went off to teach and preach in the towns near there. (2) When John the Baptist heard in prison about the things that Christ was doing, he sent some of his disciples to him. (3) "Tell us," they asked Jesus, "are you the one John said was going to come, or should we expect someone else?" (4) Jesus answered, "Go back and tell John what you are hearing and seeing: (5) the blind can see, the lame can walk, those who suffer from dreaded skin diseases are made clean, the deaf hear, the dead are brought back to life, and the Good News is preached to the poor. (6) How happy are those who have no doubts about me!"

Matthew 11:1-6 CEV
(1) After Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he left and began teaching and preaching in the towns. (2) John was in prison when he heard what Christ was doing. So John sent some of his followers (3) to ask Jesus, "Are you the one we should be looking for? Or must we wait for someone else?" (4) Jesus answered, "Go and tell John what you have heard and seen. (5) The blind are now able to see, and the lame can walk. People with leprosy are being healed, and the deaf can hear. The dead are raised to life, and the poor are hearing the good news. (6) God will bless everyone who doesn't reject me because of what I do."

Matthew 11:1-6 ALT
(1) And it happened, when Jesus finished giving instructions to His twelve disciples, He departed from there to be teaching and to be preaching in their cities. (2) But John having heard in the jail [about] the works of Christ, having sent two of his disciples, (3) said to Him, "Are You the coming One, or are we looking for a different [one]?" (4) And answering, Jesus said to them, "Having gone, report to John what you* are hearing and seeing: (5) blind [ones] receive sight and lame [ones] walk about, leprous [ones] [or, ones with a skin disease] are cleansed and deaf [ones] hear, dead [ones] are raised and the Gospel is proclaimed to poor [ones]. [cp. Isaiah 35:5,6; 61:1] (6) "And happy is [the one] who is not caused to stumble [fig., not offended] because of Me."

Matthew 11:1-6 BBE
(1) And it came about that when Jesus had come to the end of giving these orders to his twelve disciples, he went away from there, teaching and preaching in their towns. (2) Now when John had news in prison of the works of the Christ, he sent his disciples (3) To say to him, Are you he who is to come, or are we waiting for another? (4) And Jesus, answering, said to them, Go and give news to John of the things which you are seeing and hearing: (5) The blind see; those who were not able to, are walking; lepers are made clean; those who were without hearing, now have their ears open; the dead come to life again, and the poor have the good news given to them. (6) And a blessing will be on him who has no doubts about me.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
