Luke 1:67-80 GNB . . .John's father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit, and he spoke God's message: (68) "Let us praise the Lord, the God of Israel! He has come to the help of his people and has set them free. (69) He has provided for us a mighty Savior, a descendant of his servant David. (70) He promised through his holy prophets long ago (71) that he would save us from our enemies, from the power of all those who hate us. (72) He said he would show mercy to our ancestors and remember his sacred covenant. (73) With a solemn oath to our ancestor Abraham he promised to rescue us from our enemies and allow us to serve him without fear, (74) (SEE 1:73) (75) so that we might be holy and righteous before him all the days of our life. (76) "You, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High God. You will go ahead of the Lord to prepare his road for him, (77) to tell his people that they will be saved by having their sins forgiven. (78) Our God is merciful and tender. He will cause the bright dawn of salvation to rise on us (79) and to shine from heaven on all those who live in the dark shadow of death, to guide our steps into the path of peace." (80) The child grew and developed in body and spirit. He lived in the desert until the day when he appeared publicly to the people of Israel.
Luke 1:67-80 NWT . . .And Zech·a·ri´ah its father was filled with holy spirit, and he prophesied, saying: 68 “Blessed be Jehovah the God of Israel, because he has turned his attention and performed deliverance toward his people. 69 And he has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of David his servant, 70 just as he, through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old, has spoken 71 of a salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all those hating us; 72 to perform the mercy in connection with our forefathers and to call to mind his holy covenant, 73 the oath that he swore to Abraham our forefather, 74 to grant us, after we have been rescued from the hands of enemies, the privilege of fearlessly rendering sacred service to him 75 with loyalty and righteousness before him all our days. 76 But as for you, young child, you will be called a prophet of the Most High, for you will go in advance before Jehovah to make his ways ready, 77 to give knowledge of salvation to his people by forgiveness of their sins, 78 because of the tender compassion of our God. With this [compassion] a daybreak will visit us from on high, 79 to give light to those sitting in darkness and death’s shadow, to direct our feet prosperously in the way of peace.” 80 And the young child went on growing and getting strong in spirit, and he continued in the deserts until the day of showing himself openly to Israel.
Luke 1:67-80 CEV . . .The Holy Spirit came upon Zechariah, and he began to speak: (68) Praise the Lord, the God of Israel! He has come to save his people. (69) Our God has given us a mighty Savior from the family of David his servant. (70) Long ago the Lord promised by the words of his holy prophets (71) to save us from our enemies and from everyone who hates us. (72) God said he would be kind to our people and keep his sacred promise. (73) He told our ancestor Abraham (74) that he would rescue us from our enemies. Then we could serve him without fear, (75) by being holy and good as long as we live. (76) You, my son, will be called a prophet of God in heaven above. You will go ahead of the Lord to get everything ready for him. (77) You will tell his people that they can be saved when their sins are forgiven. (78) God's love and kindness will shine upon us like the sun that rises in the sky. (79) On us who live in the dark shadow of death this light will shine to guide us into a life of peace. (80) As John grew up, God's Spirit gave him great power. John lived in the desert until the time he was sent to the people of Israel.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek.
