Luke 17:28-30 GW . . ."The situation will also be like the time of Lot. People were eating, drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. (29) But on the day that Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from the sky and destroyed all of them. (30) The day when the Son of Man is revealed will be like that.

Luke 17:28-30 GNB . . .It will be as it was in the time of Lot. Everybody kept on eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. (29) On the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and killed them all. (30) That is how it will be on the day the Son of Man is revealed.

Luke 17:28-30 CEV . . .When Lot lived, people were also eating and drinking. They were buying, selling, planting, and building. (29) But on the very day Lot left Sodom, fiery flames poured down from the sky and killed everyone. (30) The same will happen on the day when the Son of Man appears.

Luke 17:28-30 ESV . . .Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot--they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, (29) but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all-- (30) so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

Luke 17:28-30 NWT . . .Likewise, just as it occurred in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building. 29 But on the day that Lot came out of Sod´om it rained fire and sulphur from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 The same way it will be on that day when the Son of man is to be revealed.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
