Jeremiah 49:36-37 BBE . . .And I will send on Elam four winds from the four quarters of heaven, driving them out to all those winds; there will be no nation into which the wanderers from Elam do not come. (37) And I will let Elam be broken before their haters, and before those who are making designs against their lives: I will send evil on them, even my burning wrath, says the Lord; and I will send the sword after them till I have put an end to them:

Elam was the son of Noah's son Shem. The nation Elam produced acted so badly in their dealings with יהוה's ancient people, God told them He would destroy them all. In that way, they might be viewed as synonymous with wickedness and the final destruction of everyone who posses it, clear at the ends of the earth.

Jeremiah 49:36-37 GNB . . .I will make winds blow against Elam from all directions, and I will scatter her people everywhere, until there is no country where her refugees have not gone. (37) I will make the people of Elam afraid of their enemies, who want to kill them. In my great anger I will destroy the people of Elam and send armies against them until I have wiped them out.

Jeremiah 49:36-37 GW . . .I'll bring the four winds from the four corners of heaven against Elam and scatter its people in every direction. There won't be a nation where Elam's refugees won't go. (37) I'll defeat the people of Elam in the presence of their enemies, in the presence of those who want to kill them. I'll bring disaster with my burning anger, declares the LORD. I'll send armies after them until I put an end to them.

Jeremiah 49:37 NWT . . .And I will bring in upon E´lam the four winds from the four extremities of the heavens. And I will scatter them to all these winds, and there will prove to be no nation to which the dispersed ones of E´lam will not come.’” 37 “And I will shatter the E´lam·ites before their enemies and before those seeking for their soul; and I will bring upon them a calamity, my burning anger,” is the utterance of Jehovah. “And I will send after them the sword until I shall have exterminated them.”

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
