••• You should recognize and know "and use" God's Hebrew Name! It is יהוה and sounds like
to English speakers... God Himself wrote with his own finger on stone tablets He then gave to Moses. (Exo 31:18) Using the Diving Name of our Creator is a uniting force in this divided world! In these verses יהוה calls "Cyrus The Great" by name some two hundred years before Cyrus II was born; using him as King of Persia to destroy Babylon and to restore his people to their homeland. •••
Isaiah 44:24-45:7 MWT ...Israel; thus says יהוה, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: "I am יהוה, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself, (25) who frustrates the signs of liars and makes fools of fortunetellers and diviners, who turns wise men back and makes their knowledge foolish, (26) who confirms the word of his servant and fulfills the counsel of his messengers, who says of Jerusalem, 'She shall be inhabited,' and of the cities of Judah, 'They shall be rebuilt, and I will raise up their ruins'; (27) who says to the deep, 'Be dry; I will dry up your rivers'; (28) who says of Cyrus, 'He is my shepherd, and he shall fulfill all my purpose'; saying of Jerusalem, 'She shall be rebuilt,' and of the temple, 'Your foundation shall be laid.'" Isaiah 45:1-7 ESV ...Thus says יהוה to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed: (2) "I will go before you and level the exalted places, I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron, (3) I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places, that you may know that it is I, יהוה, the God of Israel, who call you by your name. (4) For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I call you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me. (5) I am יהוה, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I have prepared you, even though you do not know me, (6) that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am יהוה, and there is no other. (7) I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am יהוה, who does all these things.
Isaiah 44:24-45:7 CEV ...Israel, I am your LORD (יהוה). I am your source of life, and I have rescued you. I created everything from the sky above to the earth below. (25) I make liars of false prophets and fools of fortunetellers. I take human wisdom and turn it into nonsense. (26) I will make the message of my prophets come true. They are saying, "Jerusalem will be filled with people, and the LORD (יהוה) will rebuild the towns of Judah." (27) I am the one who commands the sea and its streams to run dry. (28) I am also the one who says, "Cyrus will lead my people and obey my orders. Jerusalem and the temple will be rebuilt." Isaiah 45:1-7 CEV ...The LORD (יהוה) said to Cyrus, his chosen one: I have taken hold of your right hand to help you capture nations and remove kings from power. City gates will open for you; not one will stay closed. (2) As I lead you, I will level mountains and break the iron bars on bronze gates of cities. (3) I will give you treasures hidden in dark and secret places. Then you will know that I, the LORD (יהוה) God of Israel, have called you by name. (4) Cyrus, you don't even know me! But I have called you by name and highly honored you because of Israel, my chosen servant. (5) Only I am the LORD (יהוה)! There are no other gods. I have made you strong, though you don't know me. (6) Now everyone from east to west will learn that I am the LORD (יהוה). No other gods are real. (7) I create light and darkness, happiness and sorrow. I, the LORD (יהוה), do all of this.
Isaiah 44:24-45:7 GNB ..."I am the LORD (יהוה), your savior; I am the one who created you. I am the LORD (יהוה), the Creator of all things. I alone stretched out the heavens; when I made the earth, no one helped me. (25) I make fools of fortunetellers and frustrate the predictions of astrologers. The words of the wise I refute and show that their wisdom is foolishness. (26) But when my servant makes a prediction, when I send a messenger to reveal my plans, I make those plans and predictions come true. I tell Jerusalem that people will live there again, and the cities of Judah that they will be rebuilt. Those cities will rise from the ruins. (27) With a word of command I dry up the ocean. (28) I say to Cyrus, 'You are the one who will rule for me; you will do what I want you to do: you will order that Jerusalem be rebuilt and that the foundations of the Temple be laid.'" Isaiah 45:1-7 GNB ...The LORD (יהוה) has chosen Cyrus to be king. He has appointed him to conquer nations; he sends him to strip kings of their power; the LORD (יהוה) will open the gates of cities for him. To Cyrus the LORD (יהוה) says, (2) "I myself will prepare your way, leveling mountains and hills. I will break down bronze gates and smash their iron bars. (3) I will give you treasures from dark, secret places; then you will know that I am the LORD (יהוה) and that the God of Israel has called you by name. (4) I appoint you to help my servant Israel, the people that I have chosen. I have given you great honor, although you do not know me. (5) "I am the LORD (יהוה); there is no other god. I will give you the strength you need, although you do not know me. (6) I do this so that everyone from one end of the world to the other may know that I am the LORD (יהוה) and that there is no other god. (7) I create both light and darkness; I bring both blessing and disaster. I, the LORD (יהוה), do all these things.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals. The Translations we quote are:
