••• You should recognize and know "and use" God's Hebrew Name! It is יהוה and sounds like to English speakers... God Himself wrote with his own finger on stone tablets He then gave to Moses. (Exo 31:18) Using the Diving Name of our Creator is a uniting force in this divided world! •••
Ezekiel 8:12-18:

These verses speak of vengeance coming on the hypocrites among Ancient Jerusalem and God's temple there. Those Jews and their form of worship was God's connection with the earth in those days. His connection in our day is through all those individuals throughout the earth who profess Christianity. (Gal 3:19-29) This prophecy has a second fulfillment in our day on the unfaithful among them! (Mal 3:16-4:3)
Ezekiel 8:12-18 CEV . . .God said, "Ezekiel, do you see what horrible things Israel's leaders (Gal 3:23-26) are doing in secret? They have filled their rooms with idols. And they say I can't see them, because they think I have already deserted Israel. (13) But I will show you something even worse than this." (14) He took me to the north gate of the temple, where I saw women mourning for the god Tammuz. (15) God asked me, "Can you believe what these women are doing? But now I want to show you something worse." (16) I was then led into the temple's inner courtyard, where I saw about twenty-five men standing near the entrance, between the porch and the altar. Their backs were to the LORD  (יהוה)'s temple, and they were bowing down to the rising sun. (17) God said, "Ezekiel, it's bad enough that the people of Judah are doing these disgusting things. But they have also spread violence and injustice everywhere in Israel and have made me very angry. They have disgraced and insulted me in the worst possible way. (18) So in my fierce anger, I will punish them without mercy and refuse to help them when they cry out to me."

Ezekiel 8:12-18 GNB . . .God asked me, "Mortal man, do you see what the Israelite leaders (Gal 3:23-26) are doing in secret? They are all worshiping in a room full of images. Their excuse is: 'The LORD  (יהוה) doesn't see us! He has abandoned the country.'" (13) Then the LORD  (יהוה) said to me, "You are going to see them do even more disgusting things than that." (14) So he took me to the north gate of the Temple and showed me women weeping over the death of the god Tammuz. (15) He asked, "Mortal man, do you see that? You will see even more disgusting things." (16) So he took me to the inner courtyard of the Temple. There near the entrance of the sanctuary, between the altar and the porch, were about twenty-five men. They had turned their backs to the sanctuary and were bowing low toward the east, worshiping the rising sun. (17) The LORD  (יהוה) said to me, "Mortal man, do you see that? These people of Judah are not satisfied with merely doing all the disgusting things you have seen here and with spreading violence throughout the country. No, they must come and do them right here in the Temple and make me even more angry. Look how they insult me in the most offensive way possible! (18) They will feel all the force of my anger. I will not spare them or show them any mercy. They will shout prayers to me as loud as they can, but I will not listen to them."

Ezekiel 8:12-18 NWT . . .And he proceeded to say to me: “Have you seen, O son of man, what the elderly ones of the house of Israel (Gal 3:23-26) are doing in the darkness, each one in the inner rooms of his showpiece? For they are saying, ‘Jehovah  (יהוה) is not seeing us. Jehovah  (יהוה) has left the land.’” 13 And he continued on to say to me: “You will yet see again great detestable things that they are doing.” 14 So he brought me to the entrance of the gate of the house of Jehovah  (יהוה), which is toward the north, and, look! there the women were sitting, weeping over the [god] Tam´muz. 15 And he further said to me: “Have you seen [this], O son of man? You will yet see again great detestable things worse than these.” 16 So he brought me to the inner courtyard of the house of Jehovah  (יהוה), and, look! at the entrance of the temple of Jehovah  (יהוה), between the porch and the altar, there were about twenty-five men with their backs to the temple of Jehovah  (יהוה) and their faces to the east, and they were bowing down to the east, to the sun. 17 And he went on to say to me: “Have you seen [this], O son of man? Is it such a light thing to the house of Judah to do the detestable things that they have done here, that they have to fill the land with violence and that they should offend me again, and here they are thrusting out the shoot to my nose? 18 And I myself also shall act in rage. My eye will not feel sorry, neither shall I feel compassion. And they will certainly call out in my ears with a loud voice, but I shall not hear them.”

Ezekiel 8:12-18 ESV . . .Then he said to me, "Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel (Gal 3:23-26) are doing in the dark, each in his room of pictures? For they say, 'The LORD  (יהוה) does not see us, the LORD  (יהוה) has forsaken the land.'" (13) He said also to me, "You will see still greater abominations that they commit." (14) Then he brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the LORD  (יהוה), and behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. (15) Then he said to me, "Have you seen this, O son of man? You will see still greater abominations than these." (16) And he brought me into the inner court of the house of the LORD  (יהוה). And behold, at the entrance of the temple of the LORD  (יהוה), between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men, with their backs to the temple of the LORD  (יהוה), and their faces toward the east, worshiping the sun toward the east. (17) Then he said to me, "Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it too light a thing for the house of Judah to commit the abominations that they commit here, that they should fill the land with violence and provoke me still further to anger? Behold, they put the branch to their nose. (18) Therefore I will act in wrath. My eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. And though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them."

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
