••• You should recognize and know "and use" God's Hebrew Name! It is יהוה and sounds like to English speakers... God Himself wrote with his own finger on stone tablets He then gave to Moses. (Exo 31:18) Using the Diving Name of our Creator is a uniting force in this divided world! •••

Exodus 16:14-31 MWT . . .And when the dew had dried up, on the face of the earth was a covering of white flakes that looked like a heavy frost. (15) And when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, What is it? for they had no idea what it was. And Moses said to them, It is the bread which יהוה has given you for your food. (16) This is what יהוה has said, Let every man take up as much as he has need of; at the rate of one omer for every person, let every man take as much as is needed for his family. (17) And the children of Israel did so, and some took more and some less. (18) When they would measure it by the omer, he that had gathered much had no surplus and he that had gathered little had no shortage. They picked it up each one in proportion to his eating. (19) And Moses said to them, Let nothing be kept till the morning. (20) But they gave no attention to Moses, and some of them kept it till the morning and there were worms in it and it had a rotton smell: and Moses was angry with them. (21) And they took it up morning by morning, every man as he had need: and when the sun was high it was gone. (22) And on the sixth day they took up twice as much of the bread, two omers for every person: and all the rulers of the people gave Moses word of it. (23) And he said, This is what יהוה has said, Tomorrow is a day of rest, a holy Sabbath to יהוה: what has to be cooked may be cooked; and what is over, put on one side to be kept till the morning. (24) And they kept it till the morning as Moses had said: and no smell came from it, and it had no worms. (25) And Moses said, Make your meal today of what you have, for this day is a Sabbath to the Lord: today you will not get any in the fields. (26) For six days you will get it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any. (27) But still on the seventh day some of the people went out to get it, and there was not any. (28) And the Lord said to Moses, How long will you go against my orders and my laws? (29) See, because the Lord has given you the Sabbath, he gives you on the sixth day bread enough for two days; let every man keep where he is; let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. (30) So the people took their rest on the seventh day. (31) And this bread was named manna by Israel: it was white, like a grain seed, and its taste was like cakes made with honey.

Exodus 16:14-31 CEV . . .After the dew had gone, the desert was covered with thin flakes that looked like frost. (15) The people had never seen anything like this, and they started asking each other, "What is it?" Moses answered, "This is the bread that the LORD  (יהוה) has given you to eat. (16) And he orders you to gather about two quarts for each person in your family--that should be more than enough." (17) They did as they were told. Some gathered more and some gathered less, (18) according to their needs, and none was left over. (19) Moses told them not to keep any overnight. (20) Some of them disobeyed, but the next morning what they kept was stinking and full of worms, and Moses was angry. (21) Each morning everyone gathered as much as they needed, and in the heat of the day the rest melted. (22) However, on the sixth day of the week, everyone gathered enough to have four quarts, instead of two. When the leaders reported this to Moses, (23) he told them that the LORD  (יהוה) had said, "Tomorrow is the Sabbath, a sacred day of rest in honor of me. So gather all you want to bake or boil, and make sure you save enough for tomorrow." (24) The people obeyed, and the next morning the food smelled fine and had no worms. (25) "You may eat the food," Moses said. "Today is the Sabbath in honor of the LORD  (יהוה), and there won't be any of this food on the ground today. (26) You will find it there for the first six days of the week, but not on the Sabbath." (27) A few of the Israelites did go out to look for some, but there was none. (28) Then the LORD  (יהוה) said, "Moses, how long will you people keep disobeying my laws and teachings? (29) Remember that I was the one who gave you the Sabbath. That's why on the sixth day I provide enough bread for two days. Everyone is to stay home and rest on the Sabbath." (30) And so they rested on the Sabbath. (31) The Israelites called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and delicious as wafers made with honey.

Exodus 16:14-31 LITV . . .And the layer of dew went up, and, behold, something small was on the face of the wilderness, scalelike, small like the hoarfrost on the earth. (15) And the sons of Israel looked. And they said, each one to his brother, What is that? For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, That is the bread which Jehovah  (יהוה) has given to you for food. (16) This is the thing which Jehovah  (יהוה) commanded. Gather from it, each one according to the mouth of his eating; an omer for a head. By the number of your souls you shall take for each man who is in your tent. (17) And so the sons of Israel did. And they gathered; the one gathering much and the one gathering little. (18) And they measured with an omer. And the one gathering much did not have too much. And the one gathering little did not have any need. Each one gathered according to the mouth of his eating. (19) And Moses said to them, Do not let anyone leave from it until morning. (20) And they did not listen to Moses. And some left from it until morning; and it became rotten with maggots, and stunk. And Moses was angry against them. (21) And they gathered it in the morning, each one in the morning according to the mouth of his eating. And it melted in the heat of the sun. (22) And it came about on the sixth day, they gathered double bread, two omers for one. And all the leaders of the congregation came and reported to Moses. (23) And he said to them, That is what Jehovah  (יהוה) said, Tomorrow is a rest, a holy sabbath to Jehovah  (יהוה). What you will bake, bake. And boil what you will boil. And lay up for yourselves all that is left over, to keep it until the morning. (24) And they laid it up until the morning, as Moses commanded. And it did not stink and no maggot was in it. (25) And Moses said, Eat it today, for today is a sabbath to Jehovah  (יהוה). Today you will not find it in the field. (26) You shall gather it six days, and on the seventh is a sabbath; in it none shall be found. (27) And it happened on the seventh day, some of the people went out to gather, and did not find any. (28) And Jehovah  (יהוה) said to Moses, Until when do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws? (29) Behold! Because Jehovah  (יהוה) has given the sabbath to you, therefore He is giving to you two days of bread on the sixth day. Each one of you remain in his place. Do not let anyone go out from his place on the seventh day. (30) And the people rested on the seventh day. (31) And the house of Israel called its name, Manna. And it was like the seed of coriander, white; and its taste like cakes with honey.

Exodus 16:14-31 ESV . . .And when the dew had gone up, there was on the face of the wilderness a fine, flake-like thing, fine as frost on the ground. (15) When the people of Israel saw it, they said to one another, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, "It is the bread that the LORD  (יהוה) has given you to eat. (16) This is what the LORD  (יהוה) has commanded: 'Gather of it, each one of you, as much as he can eat. You shall each take an omer, according to the number of the persons that each of you has in his tent.'" (17) And the people of Israel did so. They gathered, some more, some less. (18) But when they measured it with an omer, whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack. Each of them gathered as much as he could eat. (19) And Moses said to them, "Let no one leave any of it over till the morning." (20) But they did not listen to Moses. Some left part of it till the morning, and it bred worms and stank. And Moses was angry with them. (21) Morning by morning they gathered it, each as much as he could eat; but when the sun grew hot, it melted. (22) On the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers each. And when all the leaders of the congregation came and told Moses, (23) he said to them, "This is what the LORD  (יהוה) has commanded: 'Tomorrow is a day of solemn rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD  (יהוה); bake what you will bake and boil what you will boil, and all that is left over lay aside to be kept till the morning.'" (24) So they laid it aside till the morning, as Moses commanded them, and it did not stink, and there were no worms in it. (25) Moses said, "Eat it today, for today is a Sabbath to the LORD  (יהוה); today you will not find it in the field. (26) Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, which is a Sabbath, there will be none." (27) On the seventh day some of the people went out to gather, but they found none. (28) And the LORD  (יהוה) said to Moses, "How long will you refuse to keep my commandments and my laws? (29) See! The LORD  (יהוה) has given you the Sabbath; therefore on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Remain each of you in his place; let no one go out of his place on the seventh day." (30) So the people rested on the seventh day. (31) Now the house of Israel called its name manna. It was like coriander seed, white, and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
