••• You should recognize and know "and use" God's Hebrew Name! It is יהוה and sounds like to English speakers... God Himself wrote with his own finger on stone tablets He then gave to Moses. (Exo 31:18) Using the Diving Name of our Creator is a uniting force in this divided world! •••

2 Chronicles 2:4-6 GNB . . .I am building a temple to honor the LORD  (יהוה) my God. It will be a holy place where my people and I will worship him by burning incense of fragrant spices, where we will present offerings of sacred bread to him continuously, and where we will offer burnt offerings every morning and evening, as well as on Sabbaths, New Moon Festivals, and other holy days honoring the LORD  (יהוה) our God. He has commanded Israel to do this forever. (Gal 3:26-29) (5) I intend to build a great temple, because our God is greater than any other god. (6) Yet no one can really build a temple for God, because even all the vastness of heaven cannot contain him. How then can I build a temple that would be anything more than a place to burn incense to God?

2 Chronicles 2:4-6 LITV . . .behold, I am building a house to the name of Jehovah  (יהוה) my God, to dedicate to Him, to burn incense of sweet spices before Him, and for the continual Bread of Arrangement, and for burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbath, and on the new moons, and at the set feasts of Jehovah  (יהוה) our God. This shall be upon Israel forever. (Gal 3:26-29) (5) And the house which I am building shall be great, for our God is greater than all gods. (6) But who has strength to enclose a house for Him, since the heavens and the heaven of heavens cannot contain Him? And who am I that I should build Him a house, except to offer [praise] before Him?

2 Chronicles 2:4-6 CEV . . .I am building a temple where the LORD  (יהוה) my God will be worshiped. Sweet-smelling incense will be burned there, and sacred bread will be offered to him. Worshipers will offer sacrifices to the LORD  (יהוה) every morning and evening, every Sabbath, and on the first day of each month, as well as during all our religious festivals. These things will be done for all time, just as the LORD  (יהוה) has commanded. [These festivals are always to be celebrated by Israel.] (Gal 3:26-29) (5) This will be a great temple, because our God is greater than all other gods. (6) No one can ever build a temple large enough for God--even the heavens are too small a place for him to live in! All I can do is build a place where we can offer sacrifices to him.

2 Chronicles 2:4-6 GW . . .I want to build the temple for the name of the LORD  (יהוה) my God. I want to dedicate it to him, burn sweet-smelling incense in his presence, and have rows of bread there continually. I want to sacrifice burnt offerings every morning and evening, on weekly worship days, New Moon Festivals, and during the annual festivals appointed by the LORD  (יהוה) our God. (These festivals are always to be celebrated by Israel.) (Gal 3:26-29) (5) The temple I am building will be great because our God is greater than all other gods. (6) But who is able to build him a temple when heaven itself, the highest heaven, cannot hold him? Who am I to build him a temple except as a place to sacrifice in his presence?

2 Chronicles 2:4-6 ASV . . .Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of Jehovah  (יהוה) my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him incense of sweet spices, and for the continual showbread, and for the burnt-offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts of Jehovah  (יהוה) our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel. (Gal 3:26-29) (5) And the house which I build is great; for great is our God above all gods. (6) But who is able to build him a house, seeing heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him a house, save only to burn incense before him?

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
